Kyocera’s DuraForce PRO is Now Available from AT&T and Sprint for Under $450

Back in August, Kyocera, a company who creates extremely durable smartphones, unveiled their latest handset called the DuraForce PRO. What makes this device so special is the rear-mounted action cam Kyocera built in to provide users with a sensor they could strap onto any action cam attachment and record (you guessed it!) action-packed video, whether you’re hiking, skiing, swimming, etc. Now, those interested in picking up this ultra-unique smartphone can grab it from AT&T and Sprint for under $450.

Starting with AT&T, the DuraForce PRO can be yours for $13.97/month for 24 months. You can also buy the phone out-right for $418.99, a price that isn’t too shabby for the amount of protection you get and the specs inside (a full list of these can be found below). For those of you on Sprint, the DuraForce PRO can be owned for $18/month for 24 months. This makes the handset out-right cost $432, roughly $13 more than AT&T’s price. But since this isn’t much of a difference, you really shouldn’t complain.

For reference, here’s a list of the DuraForce PRO’s specs.

  • 5-inch Full HD TFT IPS display
  • Octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • Super Wide View 1080p action cam w/ standard 13MP camera (both on rear)
  • 5MP front camera
  • 3240mAh battery
  • 32GB storage
  • 802.11ac Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth 4.2
  • NFC
  • microUSB port
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow
  • IP68 certified rating (water-resistant for 6.5ft/2m deep for up to 30 minutes)
  • Military Standard 810G certification
