After almost a month of waiting, Instagram is now rolling out an update to their Windows 10 Mobile app that grants users access to the social network’s new Stories feature. The new addition to the photo sharing platform allows users to share moments during their day within their “story” that disappears after 24 hours. The feature is very similar to Snapchat in various ways, especially when it comes to doodling on your pictures and videos.
Windows Central notes that after updating Instagram to version 9.575.8218, you may need to open the app, close it, and relaunch it to access Stories in full. This, for some reason, seems to be some type of bug, however at least the feature works nonetheless.
Also found in the updated version of Instagram for WXM are bug fixes, security enhancements, and stability improvements. Overall, this build of the popular app owned by Facebook is a worthy upgrade and I highly recommend users updating the software via the Windows Store.
