We’re not expecting the highly rumored iPhone 7 to be launched let alone announced until sometime next month, however that’s not stopping case manufacturers from releasing their newest products early. Over on Amazon, simply by searching ‘iPhone 7 cases’, you’ll pull up almost 27,000 different cases available for your next iPhone which may or may not actually fit the upcoming smartphone from Apple.
Take this $12.99 ultra-armor case from Luvvitt.
As you can see in the picture above, the front of the case is spaced out by what appears to be a stretched out version of the iPhone 5s. That’s okay, since no one has any official images of the iPhone 7 and the fact that the back of the case seems to sport a Space Gray iPhone 6 which is supposed to look exactly like the 7. However, when paying attention to the bottom of the case, you can see there’s two cutouts, with one being for the Lightning port and the other being for a headphone jack (at least that’s what it looks like). Rumors have stated that Apple will be ditching the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 multiple times, so we can’t help but agree with these reports as there’s too many to count at this point. So in theory, this case is probably not for the iPhone 7 and is a simple rebranding of one for the iPhone 6/6s.
Now, if you take a look at this $2.69 case from GreenElec, you’ll see a difference.
Not only does the front of the case present itself as an iPhone 6s running iOS 9, there’s only one major cutout on the bottom, and that’s for the Lightning port. Looking at the picture below, however, you’ll see a bigger difference and will probably become convinced that this is indeed a case for the iPhone 7.
As you can see, it looks like GreenElec really payed attention to detail when presenting and building this case. Not only is there no headphone jack, but there’s two cutouts for dual speakers on the bottom of the device. This has been another rumor swirling the internet which speculated whether Apple would add a second speaker to the iPhone. Of course, nothing’s confirmed yet, but I’d feel pretty confident if I placed a bet with someone who argued against this rumor. Nonetheless, this case is likely going to fit the iPhone 7 when the device comes out if recent reports rule out to be true.
Of course, there’s plenty of other cases you can check out over on Amazon, however these were two that just stood out to me the most. Some of the cases on the site may or may not be legit, but it’s nevertheless interesting to see these accessories for the iPhone 7 leak out so soon.
