LG has announced that their upcoming new smartphone the V20 will be unveiled next month, September 6th. This comes just a few days after news broke from LG themselves that the V20 would be coming by the end of quarter.
As of now, we don’t know too much about the LG V20, however LG has stated that the same dual-display setup the V10 brought will be present alongside a dual-camera system and a 32-bit DAC audio system which will deliver better sound quality either through your headphones or loud speaker. LG also says that the V20 will be the first phone to ship with Google’s Android Nougat, so September 6th looks to be between the time when Nougat will launch and the unveiling of the new Nexus devices for 2016.
Not much more is known at this current time like what kind of processor will be loaded in, how much RAM will be included, what kind of storage options there will be – it’s kind of funny, actually, that the only things we know about the V20 are stuff LG has said themselves. Not rumors, leaks, or various reports all piled high for our pleasure.
Hey, I’m just saying.
One thing we could try to rule out is the fact that the V20 could or could not be compatible with LG’s lineup of friends. If you recall, the LG G5’s invitation appeared very similar to the one people are receiving about the V20 with the word ‘play’ appearing in both. This ultimately led to LG’s ‘Friends’ being revealed which may be the same story for the V20. Of course, nothing has been confirmed in this department as of yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
Stay tuned to MBEDDED as we draw closer to the September 6th timeframe when we’ll get our first look at the LG V20!
