Nextbit has officially announced that their very popular smartphone and flagship the Robin now comes in an Ember color option. The color is really red, but Nextbit just wants to sound fancy with some interesting word like… “Ember”.
On the top and bottom bars is where you can find the Ember color Nextbit has done the Robin up in. And much like the “Electric Blue” variant of the smartphone, the rest of the body of the device is gray which creates a nice contrast with the red appearance. The fingerprint sensor, buttons, and other elements atop the body of the device are also colored Ember.
If you recall, the Nextbit Robin includes a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 13MP camera. What makes the Robin unique is it’s cloud-to-device connection which expands the memory of the device by another 100GB simply by utilizing cloud storage you can use to access less frequently used apps, games, music, documents, and more you can download when you need and delete when you don’t without losing anything important. I’ve always wanted to try out this smartphone, so I’ll let you know if I ever get my hands on one for a nice thorough hands-on article (or even video, if you guys are up to that kind of stuff).
$299 will remain the price of the Nextbit Robin even though it comes now in Ember. You can grab the Robin in all it’s new, red glory over on Nextbit’s website.
