Apple’s Now Rolling Out watchOS 2.2.2 to Everyone

Following the release of iOS 9.3.3 and OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 alongside iTunes 12.4.2, Apple has seeded the public with watchOS 2.2.2. This update includes bug fixes and stability enhancements alongside some security improvements to make using your Apple Watch more pleasurable.

watchOS 2.2.2 doesn’t include any new features or user-facing tweaks as Apple is saving all of that alongside a 7x speed increase for watchOS 3 which will be released this fall. The latter’s third beta iteration just came out today which also includes bug fixes and stability enhancements.

To install watchOS 2.2.2, navigate to the Watch app on your paired iPhone and tap the “My Watch” tab. From there, go to General > Software Update and you should see the updated build ready for download. Be sure to place your iPhone on Wi-Fi while downloading this software as it’ll surely gobble up plenty of your data.

We’ll update this post if we find anything new in watchOS 2.2.2. You can learn more about watchOS 3 here.
