After previous leaks suggested an upcoming event, Samsung has officially confirmed that their next press conference, entitled Unpacked 2016, will be held on August 2nd. An invitation is being sent out to members of the press in order for them to attend and to see what the company has to offer. And as rumors have suggested, it looks like we’ll be seeing a Galaxy Note 7 announcement at this year’s conference.
In case you didn’t know, the Galaxy Note 7 is currently set to feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with two “edges” like the Galaxy S7 Edge, a Snapdragon 823 processor (or possibly the 821 which was just announced) or Exynos 8890 in international territories, a massive 6GB of RAM, 32Gb of expandable storage via microSD card, and some type of camera sensors which are a bit unclear at this point. But how are we sure this smartphone will be announced at Unpacked 2016? Well, according to the invitation seen above, a “7” is presented before the actual Unpacked 2016 text, while a clear stylus can be found right above that. This indicates more than any rumor before that we’re bound to see another Galaxy Note hit the public eye via this event.
Of course, all this could change and Samsung could surprise us with something totally unexpected, however that’s so unlikely that we should just start calling this the Galaxy Note 7 event.
We’ll have coverage of Samsung’s Unpacked 2016 event right here on MBEDDED. The company will be live streaming the event on their official YouTube channel where you’ll be able to watch it yourself. Stay tuned for future updates about the event leading up to August 2nd, 2016.
