Via a press release published today, HTC has announced that their Desire 530 low-end budget handset will be arriving at the USA later this month. The firm stated that the two carriers from where you’ll be able to purchase the smartphone are Verizon and T-Moible via their prepaid plans while an unlocked variant will be up for sale at HTC.com.
If you recall, the Desire 530 features a 5-inch 720p display, a quad-core 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, an Adreno 304 GPU, 16GB of internal expandable storage via microSD card up to 256GB, an 8MP rear camera paired with a 5MP front shooter, HTC’s BoomSound technology, a 2200mAh battery, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. All in all, this will prove to be a pretty capable handset here in the US at least for the price.
Speaking of the price, HTC says that their unlocked variant of the Desire 530 (which will ship in Sprinkle White) will cost $179, while pricing for the carrier locked models hasn’t been announced yet. We’ll let you know if we gain any additional information, however we do know that the phone will be launching on Verizon, T-Mobile, and HTC.com later this month.
