Following the release of build 3 of iOS 9.3.3, Apple has unveiled the third iteration of the preview version of OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. This update will likely be the last for OS X altogether before the operating system for Mac is renamed to macOS this fall.

No new features have been added to this build, however bug fixes and security improvements are all here. User-facing changes, including Siri integration, won’t come until macOS Sierra goes prime time.

To install the latest build of OS X for testing on your Mac, head to the Mac App Store, then the “Updates” tab. This should present you with the latest beta ready to download and install. It shouldn’t take to long for this process to complete as this build is relatively small, however be patient nonetheless so nothing goes wrong.

If we find anything new in beta 3 of OS X 10.1.6, we’ll let you know.
