Apple has announced their 2016 Back to School promotion which, this year, will score you free Beats. In order to qualify, you must be able to identify yourself as a student at a higher education institution or college. However, once that’s done, you’ll receive your free headphones with your Apple purchase.

If you buy a MacBook/Air/Pro, an iMac, or a Mac Pro, you’ll get a free pair of Beats Solo2 wireless headphones, a value worth $299. In addition, if you pick up an iPad Pro, iPhone 6s, or iPhone 6, you’ll receive a free pair of Beats Powerbeats2 wireless earphones worth $199. You’ll also be getting the standard discount all students receive from Apple on top of this freebie deal, so all around, you’re saving money and getting free headphones at the same time.

It’s worth noting that all these headphones available for free are wireless, leading to a possible hint that Apple really is ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack on the upcoming iPhone 7. Multiple reports have confirmed that the change will be taking place, so this may be a little glimpse into what the company has in store for their smartphone line in 2016.

You’ve got from June 2nd (today) to September 5th to make a qualifying purchase and receive your free Beats headphones, while you can visit an Apple retail store or the company’s online store to take advantage of the promotion.
