Following the releases of iOS 9.3.2 and OS X El Capitan 10.11.5, Apple has seeded Apple Watch owners with watchOS 2.2.1, a free update which makes the Watch less buggy and a bit snappier. To download, you need to make sure your Watch has at least 50% battery life left and connected to it’s charger while the paired iPhone is on a reliable Wi-Fi connection. Then, launch the Apple Watch app on said iPhone and navigate to General > Software Updates. There, you’ll find the update ready for download. The package is around 30MB in size and shouldn’t take too long to install.
As far as we know, no new features are present in the latest watchOS update except for bug fixes and stability enhancements. The next watchOS update, watchOS 3, should include plenty of new stuff. This upgrade is expected to debut at WWDC this June.
