Asus has announced a new smartphone called the ZenFone Go TV. The reason for the name? It doubles as a TV. Cool, right?

This phone has a built in Sony SMT-EW100 40716 tuner chip that supports DB-T, DB-T2, ISDB-T, and ISDB-Tmm TV signals. This will allow anyone to watch free TV without using any data opposed to the other ways of watching your favorite live show which require an internet connection. You’ll have to check this guide and make sure the bands work in your region before purchasing, however once that’s done, you’re good.

The ZenFone Go TV also includes a pretty decent 5.5-inch 720p LCD display which includes a blue light filter for eye-easing usage, a 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor paired with an Adreno 305 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of storage expandable via microSD card up to 64GB, a 13MP rear camera an 5MP front camera, a 3010mAh battery, Android 5.1 Lollipop, and dual SIM card support. All this packed into a $170 smartphone.

You can grab the ZenFon Go TV in Taiwan right now for $170 in Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Lake Blue, Glacier Gray, Sheer Gold, Glamour Red, Floral Pink, or Silver Blue. It’s unclear whether this phone will come to the U.S. or other markets, but stay tuned.
