Jide and AOC Team Up to Create First All-in-One Running Remix OS

Jide, the company who makes the hugely popular desktop version of Android called Remix OS, has teamed up with display maker AOC to bring the world the first all-in-one PC running Remix OS. It’s very similar to a Chromebase with its functionality and capabilities while still being true Android in desktop form.

Here’s a rundown of the specs of the machine:

  • 23.8-inch 1920×1080 display
  • 64-bit 2GHz ARM Cortex A53 processor
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 16GB or 64GB of storage
  • Two HDMI ports
  • One Ethernet jack
  • Four USB ports

Obviously, you’re not getting Intel Core i7 speeds or 8GB of RAM multitasking capabilities, but when it comes down to it, it’s just Android. It’s not OS X or Windows. It’s Android. And that’s all you need to provide a speedy and stable performance throughout. Of course, I could see another gigabyte of RAM being added since this thing’s bound to cost a pretty penny, but nonetheless it should be pretty speedy.

The AOC Mars All-in-One powered by Remix OS is currently only available in China. We’ll let you know when it becomes available in other countries like the U.S., however.
