Back in April, it was discovered that Instagram was developing a new black and white UI to hopefully one day launch to the world and replace the current interface. Now, the company has fulfilled that destiny and today launched a new, redesigned version of their app alongside a new, updated, more modern version of their logo. This makes the app feel more up-to-paar with other apps UI-wise such as Facebook or Twitter who made the switch to modern designs a while ago.
A video demonstrating the various logos Instagram went through in order to get to their new one was also published. You can watch it below.
In addition to the official Instagram app, the company’s other apps, Layout, Hyperlash, and Boomerang, were also updated with new icons and looks. These changes are rolling out to iOS and Android users alongside the redesigned Instagram app now.
